Charles Windon is a Deputy Public Defender in the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, a position he has held for four years. In that role, he has handled thousands of client cases from arraignment to post-conviction, often coordinating treatment and diversion plans for clients to earn dismissals.
Before joining the Public Defender’s office, he worked as a clerk with Indigent Criminal Defense Appointments (ICDA) attorneys on special circumstance cases. He was on the defense team for a capital case in 2014 that secured an 11 – 1 verdict for a life sentence.
An avid golfer, Charles also works with a nonprofit to help kids of color secure scholarships for college.
